Why was GoGo Squeez® voluntarily recalled in 2016?
GoGo squeeZ® voluntarily recalled some pouches in 2016 to ensure our products were up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards. In a small number of pouches we found a common mold—the kind that naturally forms on fruit. We have confirmed with an independent lab that tested the mold and an expert microbiologist who determined that it poses no known health risk.
Are GoGo SqueeZ® products being recalled in 2023?
There is no recall on any GoGo squeeZ® products in the US, and we are not affiliated with the Wanabana® brand. We are very committed to food safety and quality. To ensure GoGo squeeZ® is up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards, we only source fresh apples and ingredients from growers who apply good ecological practices to grow and harvest fruits. While we do not share specific data, our products are regularly tested and conform to all US regulations. In addition, we have our own internal quality monitoring program, where particle levels are regularly tested. So, give your kids a delicious snack, and yourselves some peace of mind. Read more here..

How does GoGo Squeez® ensure the safety and quality of its products?
To ensure GoGo squeeZ® is up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards, we only source fresh apples and ingredients from growers who apply good ecological practices to grow and harvest fruits. Arsenic is regularly tested. Give your family a nutritious snack with the knowledge that GoGo squeeZ® has safety top of mind!
My GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ product was shipped directly to my home by a package courier. Do their transportation and logistics environments meet the GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ temperature guidelines?
We cannot speak to the operating conditions of a third party, but we can confirm that we conducted testing, simulating the transportation environments of package couriers.
What if my retailer does not adhere to the GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ temperature guidelines?
Our recommendation is for GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ to be stored below 86˚ F. However, we have conducted extensive testing on product quality and safety in unlikely temperature scenarios. Under extreme testing conditions, the product remained at or above our quality and safety measures.
When you say GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ can be stored at room temperature, what does that mean, specifically?
Our recommendation is for GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ to be stored, by consumers and commercial partners, at room temperature. While room temperature is often considered to be somewhere between 60˚ and 70˚F, we can comfortably recommend product storage up to 86˚ F.
What is the average shelf life of GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ?
Each pouch has a shelf life of 12 months from the day it is manufactured. Check the ‘best before’ date stamped on the back of every pouch for reference.
Are you going to make more GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ flavors?

Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ non-GMO project verified?
No, GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is not currently non-GMO project verified.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ gluten free?
Yes. We use gluten free whole oats in our recipe.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ nut free?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ recipes are nut-free and are manufactured on dedicated nut-free equipment in a separate and segregated area within the facility. GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is, however, made in a facility that uses nuts (pistachios, hazelnuts and/or almonds) in other products. We take the necessary precautions to ensure no cross contamination occurs with GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ egg free?
Yes, GGS smoothieZ are egg free and manufactured in a facility free of eggs.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ Kosher certified?
Yes.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ BPA free?
Yes.
Does GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ have carrageenan?
No, there is no carrageenan in our product.
Why is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ not certified organic?
At this time, our mission was to deliver the most delicious and nutritious GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ offering, made with the highest quality, non-organic ingredients, including milk free from antibiotics, rBST† and other artificial growth hormones. Similar to the GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce range of products, we are first introducing a delicious yogurt smoothie filled with the GoGo Goodness our consumers know and love. Over time, we will continue to evolve and expand the GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ offerings, delivering different variants for distinct consumer audiences.

Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ organic?
Not at this time.
Why is there a hard gob of GoGo squeeZ SmoothieZ ® in the straw of the pouch?
Yogurt that comes in contact with air in the spout, or yogurt that is exposed to a touch more heat during the final heat treatment process, may form a “plug” or hardened yogurt gob. Please know this is a normal and natural occurrence, and absolutely safe to consume.
Where is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ made?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is produced in a small village in Normandy, which is in the heart of the French dairy country, known around the world for its milk, cream and cheese products.
Are GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce On The Go and GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ made in the same facility?
No, they are not. We manufacture GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ at a separate, but equally qualified, facility in the heart of the French dairy region, alongside our GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ products.
Where does GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ source their milk?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ works exclusively with a network of partner farms located in the heart of the French dairy country.
Is GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ vegetarian friendly?
The only animal products in SmoothieZ is milk, so therefore they are acceptable for lacto-ovo vegetarians.
From what ingredients are the Natural Flavors sourced?
The flavors are made with natural flavorings and / or natural preparations that are in propylene glycol and / or alcohol. Our suppliers do not provide us with the details of the natural substances and preparations.
Will we see these caps on GGS yogurtZ, smoothieZ, Big squeeZ and Happy TummieZ pouches, too? If so, when?
For now, you will be seeing the new caps on our Fruit and fruit & veggieZ pouches, but we’re exploring ways to make other pouches with these awesome new caps, too!
Does GoGo squeeZ ® SmoothieZ require refrigeration?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is a pantry-friendly smoothie snack, which means you don’t need a fridge or cooler to store it. It’s made this way so it’s easy for kids to take it anywhere they go. In other words, you can store our smoothie pouches at room temperature, but be sure to refrigerate after opening, and toss after 24 hours.
Is it safe to consume GoGo squeeZ ® SmoothieZ at room temperature?
You bet it is! You can store GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ at room temperature until opened. When you're ready to GoGo, enjoy your GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ as is, pop it in the fridge. Really, the choice is yours!
So you don’t add ANY preservatives?
Absolutely not! We say NO to preservatives, so you can say YES to GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ!
How can you store GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ at room temperature without adding preservatives?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is heated after culturing and after packaging, which is how you can store at room temperature.
Does the final GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ product have live and active cultures?
GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ is heated after culturing is completed, and as a result live cultures become inactive. As a delicious, smooth and creamy yogurt smoothie, with no need for refrigeration, the team behind GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ has focused on delivering a yogurt product with 3 grams of protein, along with whole oats and fruit for a delicious on the go snack.
What kind of milk do you use?
GoGo squeeZ® collects fresh, raw milk, free from rBST† and antibiotics from exclusive partner farms. Upon arrival at the GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ plant, the milk is pasteurized, homogenized and standardized to produce a whole milk product.
†Made with milk from cows not treated with hormones like rBST. No significant difference has been shown between milk from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows.
What is rBST²?
To put it simply, rBST (recombinant Bovine Somatotropin) is an artificial growth hormone that could be given to cows to increase milk production. The dairy farms from which the yogurt is produced are located in France and the French Government as well as EU legislation does not permit rBST as per the attached documents.

Why does GoGo squeeZ® SmoothieZ add sugar to their product?
GoGo squeeZ® is committed to delivering goodness in terms of quality ingredients and delicious flavor. Our recipe makes use of cane sugar in addition to the naturally occurring sugar found in fresh milk and real fruit. We aim to provide our consumers with the most consistent, best tasting yogurt, without use of high fructose corn syrup or any other artificial sweeteners.
How much sugar comes from milk and fruit vs. other sugar?
To provide our consumers with the most consistent, best tasting product, without use of high fructose corn syrup or any other artificial sweeteners, we make use cane sugar in addition to the naturally occurring sugar found in fresh milk and real fruit. Within our current formulation, approximately 2/3 of the sugar comes from the milk and fruit ingredients, with the rest coming from cane sugar.
From what fruit is the Fruit Pectin sourced?
Fruit Pectin is sourced from the citrus fruit rind.
Can the product spill if I reclose it with the new cap and put it in my bag
No, it should not spill. We have done extensive testing - even tossed pouches in a bag - and we’re pleased to report it does not re-open! Just as before: no spoon, no mess!
Are the new caps recyclable?
The caps are made from recyclable material, but we recommend that you check with your local municipality to see if they will accept it in your community. The caps are also accepted by Terracycle.
Why are there old caps on some pouches I purchased, but new ones on others?
Great question! Our goal is to switch to the new cap on all our Fruit and fruit & veggieZ products, but it’s a gradual process that involves careful planning. As we work hard on getting this done, you will see the new cap on more and more pouches on your store shelves.
Are you switching to the new cap on all your products?
It will be a gradual process, but our goal is to, eventually, have the new cap on our fruit pouches and fruit and veggie pouches.
Are the caps still re-closeable?
Yes! Although the new caps click on rather than twist off, they are still re-closeable
Is the product inside the same?
The recipes in these pouches have not been changed. Only the helicopter cap is different. So, rest assured, it’s the same yummy product our fans have come to expect from GoGo squeeZ!

Why are the caps on your pouches different than the ones I’m used to seeing?
At GoGo squeeZ, we are always looking for ways to improve our products, packaging, and our impact on the environment and community through continued investments in sustainability. With this in mind, we developed a new cap that uses 40% less plastic than our original helicopter caps. But, rest assured, the product inside has not changed – it’s the same yummy product our fans have come to expect from GoGo squeeZ!

Our yogurt squeeze pouches include an additional heating step to ensure your yogurt can be stored at room temperature for whenever and wherever you want it.

What does GoGo squeeZ® do to prevent mold from growing in its preservative-free products?
Please be assured that nothing is more important to us than the quality and safety of our products and satisfying our customers. That’s why we have significant processes in place to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards when they leave our facilities. On the top of stringent quality control standards, all of our production sites have a quality management system in place to drive continuous improvement and to identify as well as implement preventive controls to protect food safety and quality during the production and preparation processes. What may cause mold to appear in damaged packages?
If a package becomes damaged, the product can become overly exposed to air. This could make it possible for mold to develop, because GoGo squeeZ® is preservative free. The mold that might occur is a common food mold, similar to what can happen with fresh fruit that has been overly exposed to air. To help ensure freshness, we recommend you refrigerate your pouch after opening and consume within 24 hours. If you think you see mold in your GoGo squeeZ®, do not consume it. Is GoGo squeeZ® safe for kids of all ages?
Kids (and adults!) over four years old can enjoy GoGo squeeZ® at home, at school or anywhere they go. However, GoGo squeeZ® pouches have a removable cap that makes them unsuitable for unsupervised children under 3 years old.
Do GoGo squeeZ® pouches contain BPA?
No! All of our packaging and pouches are BPA and phthalate free.
What is the inner lining of the pouch made of?
The GoGo squeeZ® pouch lining is made of polyethylene—an inert and safe material that is used for many of the caps on today’s plastic drink bottles.
Are GoGo squeeZ® pouches recyclable?
GoGo squeeZ® has teamed up with upcycling and recycling pioneer TerraCycle® Inc., to create a way for families to upcycle their pouches. TerraCycle’s Brigade® programs allow people to collect and upcycle everyday product packaging and contribute to the creation of new, eco-friendly items from post-consumer waste. For each GoGo squeeZ® pouch that TerraCycle receives, the Brigade member earns two points, redeemable for a variety of charitable gifts or a donation of $0.02 to put toward their school, religious organization, community group or charity of their choice. Is GoGo squeeZ® fortified with any vitamins?
We believe in nutritious, simple foods without added ingredients, so GoGo squeeZ® applesauce products are not fortified with additional vitamins or minerals. We do not make a claim related to the naturally occurring level of vitamins in our products due to the variability in vitamin levels that can occur from crop to crop. All vitamins that occur naturally in apples are also present in our applesauce products.
Does your product contain any major allergens?
All GoGo squeeZ® applesauce products are free of the top 9 allergens: egg, dairy, wheat, tree nuts, seafood, shellfish, peanut, soy, or sesame. Our squeezable applesauce pouches are made in a facility that is also free of these noted allergens.
I see you added Lemon Juice Concentrate to some of your pouches. What led you to change your formula to include lemon juice concentrate?
Mother Nature gives each individual apple its own personality with varying levels of acidity, so when needed, we include a splash of lemon juice concentrate as a natural way to achieve consistent acidity levels in our products.
What is the best temperature to serve GoGo squeeZ®?
The optimal temperature is 68° F – 77° F (room temperature).
