Apple Cider a la GoGo
For a different alternative to a winter classic, check out our Apple Cider a la GoGo. We love this recipe because we’ve replaced the added sugar that usually goes into apple cider with GoGo goodness found in our nutritious snacks for kids. In addition, we’ve included a pinch of cinnamon, a spice praised for its antioxidant-like properties. And of course, you get some of the benefits of wholesome apples- hard to go wrong with this delicious mix of goodness!

Ingredients
8 -10 apples
2 pouches Apple Apple GoGo squeeZ (or if you prefer your apple cider to have a heavy cinnamon flavor, you can use our Apple Cinnamon fruit pouches)
4 tablespoons cinnamon or 4 cinnamon sticks
4 tablespoons whole allspice
Directions
Cut apples into 4 pieces each
Place apples in a large pot, and add just enough water to cover them
Add the two GoGo squeeZ applesauce pouches
Use cheesecloth to bundle your cinnamon and allspice (you may need to double or triple it to stop spices from seeping through), tie shut, and put in pot with apples and GoGo squeeZ
Boil on high for two hours uncovered- be sure to check it frequently
Remove pot from heat and let cool
Remove the spices and mash apples until it resembles pulp
Strain into a large bowl using a fine strainer
SqueeZ the remaining pulp through a cheesecloth until you can’t get any more juice out
