Why was GoGo Squeez® voluntarily recalled in 2016?
GoGo squeeZ® voluntarily recalled some pouches in 2016 to ensure our products were up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards. In a small number of pouches we found a common mold—the kind that naturally forms on fruit. We have confirmed with an independent lab that tested the mold and an expert microbiologist who determined that it poses no known health risk.
Are GoGo SqueeZ® products being recalled?
There is no recall on any GoGo squeeZ® products in the US, and we are not affiliated with the Wanabana® brand. We are very committed to food safety and quality. To ensure GoGo squeeZ® is up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards, we only source fresh apples and ingredients from growers who apply good ecological practices to grow and harvest fruits. While we do not share specific data, our products are regularly tested and conform to all US regulations. In addition, we have our own internal quality monitoring program, where particle levels are regularly tested. So, give your kids a delicious snack, and yourselves some peace of mind. Read more here..
How does GoGo Squeez® ensure the safety and quality of its products?
To ensure GoGo squeeZ® is up to our 100% squeeZ-able standards, we only source fresh apples and ingredients from growers who apply good ecological practices to grow and harvest fruits. Arsenic is regularly tested. Give your family a nutritious snack with the knowledge that GoGo squeeZ® has safety top of mind!
Will we see these caps on GGS yogurtZ, smoothieZ, Big squeeZ and Happy TummieZ pouches, too? If so, when?
For now, you will be seeing the new caps on our Fruit and fruit & veggieZ pouches, but we’re exploring ways to make other pouches with these awesome new caps, too!
Can the product spill if I reclose it with the new cap and put it in my bag
No, it should not spill. We have done extensive testing - even tossed pouches in a bag - and we’re pleased to report it does not re-open! Just as before: no spoon, no mess!
Are the new caps recyclable?
The caps are made from recyclable material, but we recommend that you check with your local municipality to see if they will accept it in your community. The caps are also accepted by Terracycle.
Why are there old caps on some pouches I purchased, but new ones on others?
Great question! Our goal is to switch to the new cap on all our Fruit and fruit & veggieZ products, but it’s a gradual process that involves careful planning. As we work hard on getting this done, you will see the new cap on more and more pouches on your store shelves.
Are you switching to the new cap on all your products?
It will be a gradual process, but our goal is to, eventually, have the new cap on our fruit pouches and fruit and veggie pouches.
Are the caps still re-closeable?
Yes! Although the new caps click on rather than twist off, they are still re-closeable
Is the product inside the same?
The recipes in these pouches have not been changed. Only the helicopter cap is different. So, rest assured, it’s the same yummy product our fans have come to expect from GoGo squeeZ!
Why are the caps on your pouches different than the ones I’m used to seeing?
At GoGo squeeZ, we are always looking for ways to improve our products, packaging, and our impact on the environment and community through continued investments in sustainability. With this in mind, we developed a new cap that uses 40% less plastic than our original helicopter caps. But, rest assured, the product inside has not changed – it’s the same yummy product our fans have come to expect from GoGo squeeZ!
Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ vegetarian friendly?
Yes.
Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ Kosher certified?
Yes.
Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ BPA free?
Yes.

Not at this time.
Why is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ not certified organic?
At this time, our mission is to deliver the most delicious and nutritious GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ offering, made with the highest quality, non-organic ingredients, including milk free from antibiotics, rBST and other artificial growth hormones.
Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ non-GMO project verified?
No, GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ is not currently non-GMO project verified.

Are there any age limitations for GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ?
Similar to GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce On The Go, kids (and adults!) ages 4+ can independently enjoy GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ. We would be udder-ly delighted for children under three to enjoy GoGo squeeZ yogurtZ and its playful, blue heli-cap (while supervised) per the dietary recommendations of their pediatrician or family physician.

Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ nut free?
GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ is peanut and tree nut free. GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ, however, is manufactured in a facility where nuts are used in the production of other products. We take every necessary precaution to ensure that there is no cross contamination with GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ.
Are GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce On The Go and GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ made in the same facility?
No, they are not. We manufacture GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ at a separate, but equally qualified, facility in the heart of the French dairy region.
Is GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ gluten free?
Yes.
Why does GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ add sugar to their product?
GoGo squeeZ® is committed to delivering goodness in terms of quality ingredients and delicious flavor. Our recipe makes use of natural cane sugar in addition to the naturally occurring sugar found in fresh milk and real fruit. We aim to provide our consumers with the most consistent, best tasting yogurt, without use of high fructose corn syrup or any other artificial sweeteners.
So you don’t add ANY preservatives to GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ?
Absolutely not! We say NO to preservatives, so you can say YES to GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ!
I’ve never heard of a shelf stable yogurt? Is it real yogurt? How is that possible?
It most certainly is a real yogurt! GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ follows the same basic process as refrigerated yogurt, combining warmed milk and cultures. Our yogurt squeeze pouches include an additional heating step to ensure your yogurt can be stored at room temperature for whenever and wherever you want it.
Does GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ require refrigeration?
GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ is pantry-friendly smoothie. In other words, you can store GoGo squeeZ® yogurtZ at room temperature, but be sure to refrigerate after opening, and toss after 24 hours.
Are GoGo squeeZ® pouches recyclable?
GoGo squeeZ® has teamed up with upcycling and recycling pioneer TerraCycle® Inc., to create a way for families to upcycle their pouches. TerraCycle’s Brigade® programs allow people to collect and upcycle everyday product packaging and contribute to the creation of new, eco-friendly items from post-consumer waste. For each GoGo squeeZ® pouch that TerraCycle receives, the Brigade member earns two points, redeemable for a variety of charitable gifts or a donation of $0.02 to put toward their school, religious organization, community group or charity of their choice. What variants will always remain Lemon Juice Concentrate free?
The variants that will remain free of Lemon Juice are: AppleBerry, AppleCherry and Organic AppleBerry.
Why is this happening now?
In order to continue to deliver amaZing quality applesauce, we are making this change to make GoGo even better.
What steps are you taking to inform consumers of the change?
We have proactively reached out to the communities most impacted by this change, have included news of the change on our website, and have changed the ingredient statements on our labels and on the website.
What is the inner lining of the pouch made of?
The GoGo squeeZ® pouch lining is made of polyethylene—an inert and safe material that is used for many of the caps on today’s plastic drink bottles.
Do GoGo squeeZ® pouches contain BPA?
No! All of our packaging and pouches are BPA and phthalate free.
Is GoGo squeeZ® safe for kids of all ages?
Kids (and adults!) over four years old can enjoy GoGo squeeZ® at home, at school or anywhere they go. However, GoGo squeeZ® pouches have a removable cap that makes them unsuitable for unsupervised children under 3 years old.
What may cause mold to appear in damaged packages?
If a package becomes damaged, the product can become overly exposed to air. This could make it possible for mold to develop, because GoGo squeeZ® is preservative free. The mold that might occur is a common food mold, similar to what can happen with fresh fruit that has been overly exposed to air. To help ensure freshness, we recommend you refrigerate your pouch after opening and consume within 24 hours. If you think you see mold in your GoGo squeeZ®, do not consume it. What does GoGo squeeZ® do to prevent mold from growing in its preservative-free products?
Please be assured that nothing is more important to us than the quality and safety of our products and satisfying our customers. That’s why we have significant processes in place to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards when they leave our facilities. On the top of stringent quality control standards, all of our production sites have a quality management system in place to drive continuous improvement and to identify as well as implement preventive controls to protect food safety and quality during the production and preparation processes. What is the best temperature to serve GoGo squeeZ®?
The optimal temperature is 68° F – 77° F (room temperature).
I see you added Lemon Juice Concentrate to some of your pouches. What led you to change your formula to include lemon juice concentrate?
Mother Nature gives each individual apple its own personality with varying levels of acidity, so when needed, we include a splash of lemon juice concentrate as a natural way to achieve consistent acidity levels in our products.
Does your product contain any major allergens?
All GoGo squeeZ® applesauce products are free of the top 9 allergens: egg, dairy, wheat, tree nuts, seafood, shellfish, peanut, soy, or sesame. Our squeezable applesauce pouches are made in a facility that is also free of these noted allergens.
Is GoGo squeeZ® fortified with any vitamins?
We believe in nutritious, simple foods without added ingredients, so GoGo squeeZ® applesauce products are not fortified with additional vitamins or minerals. We do not make a claim related to the naturally occurring level of vitamins in our products due to the variability in vitamin levels that can occur from crop to crop. All vitamins that occur naturally in apples are also present in our applesauce products.
